C++ Systems Engineer (m/f/d)

Demanding software begins where classic backend development reaches its limits. We are looking for an experienced C++ specialist who develops high-performance software architectures, integrates complex system landscapes, and actively shapes technical decisions.
Responsibilities:
Development of modern C++ software for technically demanding and performance-oriented systems
Design and further development of robust software architectures
Development of backend components for distributed and high-performance applications
Integration of software, hardware, network components, and external services
Analysis of complex technical contexts and sustainable optimisation of existing solutions
Development of efficient communication interfaces based on modern network protocols
Establishment of automated tests and sustainable quality assurance
Conducting code reviews and establishing modern engineering standards
Analysis of runtime behaviour, memory consumption, and system performance
Technical support for releases, architectural decisions, and development planning
Support of less experienced developers through professional coaching and technical reviews
Further development of development processes, toolchains, and engineering practices
Qualifications:
Several years of experience in professional C++ development
Very good knowledge of modern C++ standards such as C++17, C++20, or C++23
Solid understanding of object-oriented software architecture, concurrency, and memory management
Experience with backend systems, distributed applications, or system-level software development
Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, UDP, REST, or gRPC
Experience with JSON, Protobuf, or comparable serialization formats
Confident handling of Git, CMake, and modern CI/CD pipelines
Strong skills in debugging, profiling, and performance engineering
Commitment to clean, testable, and maintainable code in the long term
Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for complex technical challenges
Willingness to take on technical responsibility and help shape architectural decisions
