Job Description
MISSION:
The Food and Beverage Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing all operational services related to the food and beverage activity, including banquet service, the restaurant, room service and breakfast. Their mission is to continuously ensure the profitability of their department by generating revenue and controlling costs.
They must achieve the defined objectives regarding customer satisfaction, team member satisfaction and profitability. They are also responsible for training and developing supervisors and operational managers of the food and beverage activity, analysing current trends and making recommendations accordingly. They contribute to the development and planning of hotel activities.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Technical expertise and customer relations:
- Supervise the operational activities of the restaurant, bar, room service, banquet service and breakfast
- Prepare budgets, anticipate and adapt schedules and human resource organisation in accordance with activity forecasts and the hotel’s commercial strategy
- Assess changes in customer needs, adapt their department to the diversity of clientele, cultures and consumption habits, and the competitive landscape, in order to propose necessary operational and product/service changes where appropriate
- Ensure the satisfaction of employees and hotel customers, while remaining competitive in the market and vigilant about financial performance
- Anticipate and resolve customer issues and implement proactive processes aimed at promoting customer satisfaction
- Participate in inventories in compliance with accounting rules
- Embody the Heartist spirit in interactions with customers
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as Assistant Food and Beverage Manager
- Proven experience in team management and staff development
- Financial understanding and experience in budgeting and financial reporting
- Excellent customer service skills, with a constant focus on creating memorable experiences for clients
- Proficiency in stock management and point of sale systems
- Knowledge of food service industry trends, quality standards and health regulations
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluency in English
- Problem-solving skills and ability to make quick, informed decisions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and restaurant management software
- Experience within the Accor group would be an advantage
