About the job
The Digital Agency at ELCA is the area where client projects become visible: web and mobile applications that people use daily. You work in an interdisciplinary team of around 70 experts from UX, frontend, backend, DevOps as well as consulting and switch between challenging client projects. Depending on the project, you work on-site at the client or at your preferred ELCA location in Zurich, Bern or Basel.
In this newly created position you actively shape things: Your technical judgement counts in architecture, client discussions and technology decisions.
Your tasks
- You are responsible for end-to-end development on modern PHP stacks (Drupal, TYPO3, Symfony), from backend architecture to frontend integration with React, Angular or Flutter
- You develop solutions in an interdisciplinary team and are the technical contact person in the German-speaking part of Switzerland
- For tricky issues, you can rely on the expertise of your international colleagues
- You advise PMs, UX teams, security and IAM experts and are also in direct client contact
- You participate in sales meetings and client discussions and ensure that technical feasibility and solution approach are considered from the start

Your profile
- Completed studies in computer science, communication systems or comparable disciplines
- At least 5 years of experience in web development with CMS, DXP and/or eCommerce systems (such as Drupal, WordPress, Pimcore, eZpublish, Joomla, Typo3, Shopify)
- Solid PHP knowledge (Symfony, Zend) and good frontend understanding (HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS)
- You can represent technical decisions, both to developers and clients
- You think as a T-shaped developer: deep in your core, but curious about everything around it
- Fluent in German (native or C2) and English (B2 or better)
