The Paediatric Research Centre leads and conducts clinical studies across a variety of disciplines. To strengthen our motivated and collegial team, we are looking for a committed individual for a part-time position (30-40%) who enjoys laboratory work, has scientific curiosity, and works independently. Career starters are also warmly welcome and will be carefully introduced to their tasks. The position is initially fixed-term for one year, with the possibility of extension.
Start date: immediately or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Independent preparation, execution, and documentation of routine laboratory tasks such as sample collection and processing for a paediatric biobank
- Participation in the further development and optimisation of our newly established biobank
- Support with various laboratory tasks within ongoing research projects, for example: ELISA, quantitative PCR (qPCR), and other molecular biological and immunological methods
- Careful documentation and quality assurance of laboratory processes
- Close collaboration with researchers and study coordinators
- Opportunity for professional development and taking on additional tasks according to qualifications and interests
Your profile
- Completed training as a laboratory technician, biomedical analyst (BMA), medical-technical laboratory assistant (MTLA), or comparable qualification
- Experience in general laboratory organisation and handling of biological samples is an advantage
- Ideally experience in a research or university laboratory
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel)
- Independent, reliable, and careful working style
- Quick comprehension and initiative
- Enjoyment of interdisciplinary and collegial collaboration
- Good German and English skills, both spoken and written
