The School Psychological Service of the Canton of St. Gallen (SPD) is a counselling service for pupils, their parents and teachers, as well as for school management and school authorities. Around 90 people work at the central office, the seven regional offices and the crisis intervention group. Further information can be found at http://www.schulpsychologie-sg.ch

From 1 January 2027 or by arrangement, we are looking for

Regional Office Manager / School Psychologist (80% - 90%) for the Rorschach Regional Office

Department Head and Member of the Executive Board (15%)

In a 25% capacity, the Regional Office Manager Rorschach has a supervisory role over seven employees, contact with the presidencies of the 17 school authorities and sits on the SPD management conference. The school psychological work of 55% includes assessments, counselling, interventions and collaboration with specialist agencies and authorities. As rural communities also need to be supported, the role requires the use of a private car.

At the same time, the position of department head is to be filled at 15%. This person manages a regional office themselves, supervises one to two other regional office managers and is responsible for specific specialist areas of the SPD. They are a member of the four-person executive board of the SPD.

• University degree in Psychology (Licentiate or Master)
• Completed specialist psychological training Several years of experience as a school psychologist
• Willingness to take on leadership responsibility
• Communicative and committed personality
• Interest in solution-oriented counselling, school development issues and interdisciplinary collaboration
