Our small day special school Tandem in Reinach BL is looking from August 1, 2026 to February 5, 2027

a substitute position as co-class teacher for our mixed 5th/6th Bear class (development class)

We are a school for normally gifted boys of primary school age with pronounced behavioral issues and we work with the performance mandate of the Canton of Baselland.

In addition to classical teaching, our school concept offers many opportunities for the boys to (re)gain positive experiences regarding their self-esteem and social behavior.

We offer you as a teacher the following:             

• a 60% position as co-class teacher in our Bear class (six to eight 5th/6th graders with teaching all day Friday, rest by arrangement)
• teaching support by social pedagogues in training, interns, or civilian service personnel
• support and guidance in challenging situations by an experienced interdisciplinary team 
• a diverse infrastructure

• an inspiring, nature-close learning environment with plenty of outdoor space and forest 

   

You bring with you: 

• Bachelor in Psychology or Primary Teaching Diploma with experience teaching children with challenging learning biographies and/or a Master in School Special Education 
• Interest in working with boys with special talents and difficulties
• Teamwork skills, resilience, and joy in jointly taking class responsibility with the co-teacher (including responsibility for the support planning of individual boys) and developing and implementing new methodological ideas in the nature-close environment
