Your responsibility :
- As part of your leadership role, you lead a team of four investigating officers (and one trainee).
- You are responsible for the professional support of your employees, case allocation, and quality control (especially of final decisions).
- You work closely with the public prosecutor responsible for the team (who holds procedural leadership and signing authority).
- As an investigating officer, you personally investigate criminal cases involving felonies, misdemeanours, and infractions in cooperation with the public prosecutor responsible for your team.
- You conduct interviews with suspects, informants, and witnesses.
- You draft final decisions as well as orders and statements in all areas of the Swiss Criminal Code and ancillary criminal law.
- In addition, you provide on-call service.
Your background :
- You have a completed law degree or an equivalent, subject-related education and many years of experience in criminal prosecution.
- CAS Forensics I is an advantage.
- Leadership experience is desirable.
- Personally, you are characterised by resilience, team spirit, decisiveness, and an independent as well as careful working style.
- You have an eye for the essentials and present yourself confidently when dealing with parties involved in proceedings.
- Integrity and confidentiality are a matter of course for you.

Public Prosecutor's Office
The Public Prosecutor's Office Basel-Landschaft is affiliated with the Security Directorate of the Canton Basel-Landschaft and consists of four main departments, the Central Services and the staff, and conducts all criminal proceedings for felonies, misdemeanours, and infractions against adult persons. It brings charges and represents the prosecution before the competent court and issues penal orders, dismissal orders, and non-prosecution decisions. Additionally, the Public Prosecutor's Office provides national and international legal assistance in criminal matters.
