The starting date is scheduled for 1 November 2026, with work from Monday to Friday.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
DOMINO (DOMicile with Optimised INfectiological follow-up) is a project of the Infectious Diseases Service aimed at facilitating the return home of patients requiring specialised infectiology follow-up. It currently operates in two pilot sectors: septic surgery, for the follow-up of patients on long-term antibiotic therapy, and the Emergency Department, for patients requiring rapid infectiology follow-up after their emergency visit.
Within the DOMINO unit, you play a key role in coordinating outpatient care for patients, in close collaboration with doctors and the various partners involved in their care pathway.
Mission
In partnership with a doctor, you participate in the care of patients followed up after an emergency visit as well as those receiving long-term outpatient antibiotic therapy.
- You ensure the reception, orientation and administrative follow-up of patients and participate in coordinating their medical follow-up
- You organise and coordinate medical consultations, particularly for post-emergency follow-up and prolonged antibiotic treatments
- You ensure the drafting and formatting of medical reports and correspondence, as well as maintaining the unit's clinical databases
- You carry out administrative procedures related to outpatient stays, billing of services and management of telephone calls
- You ensure the activation and use of the CHUV@home telemedicine application
- You collaborate with internal and external partners involved in the patients' care pathway
- You contribute to the sustainability and monitoring of the unit's activity, notably through tracking tables, conferences and satisfaction questionnaires.
Profile
- You hold a Federal Certificate of Competence (CFC) as a medical assistant or an equivalent qualification
- You ideally have professional experience in a hospital or outpatient setting
- You have excellent organisational skills and can manage priorities effectively
- You are proficient with IT tools and medical software
- You demonstrate rigour, autonomy and discretion
- You have excellent interpersonal skills and enjoy teamwork
- You show a strong interest in the field of infectious diseases.
