• Acquire and lead research projects in the field of geotechnics and tunnel construction
• Plan, organize and implement training and continuing education programs
• Provide professional support to employees and students
• Build and maintain a strong network in the field of tunnel construction as well as close cooperation with partner companies and institutions.

• PhD in civil engineering or equivalent qualification
• Recognized expertise in the field of geotechnics and tunnel construction, established network in Switzerland
• At least 3 years of practical experience in geotechnics and/or tunnel construction as well as at least 2 years of teaching experience at university level
• Experience in acquiring and leading research projects
• Fluent in German/French or German/English

The title of Professor*in can be used if the requirements according to the BFH personnel regulations are met
