Modern Workplace Engineer (m/f/d)
Role:
Stable IT services arise where technology and partner management work together seamlessly. As a Modern Workplace Engineer, you form the interface between internal IT and an external operating partner. You maintain an overall view of infrastructure, workplace, and security. With your expertise in Microsoft 365 (M365), Intune, and PowerShell, you drive standardisation and automation purposefully. Your technical depth is just as important here as your sensitivity to people and processes.
Responsibilities:
You take responsibility for 2nd- and 3rd-level support and coordinate complex disruptions closely with the external operator.
Together with the operating partner, you ensure a stable, secure, and high-performance operation of the IT services.
You analyse existing solutions and automate processes in the areas of security, workplace, and infrastructure.
Furthermore, you evaluate new technologies and actively participate in projects. You transition new hardware and software into operation.
When introducing new systems and applications, you ensure compliance with security standards and regulatory requirements.
Additionally, you create clear documentation and training materials and enable employees to handle hardware, software, and communication platforms.
Qualifications:
You have an IT vocational training with further education at HF, FH, or university level. In addition, you have several years of experience in a service-oriented IT environment.
You are proficient in Windows client management, especially with Microsoft 365, Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), and Intune.
Moreover, you bring practical knowledge in system architecture, IT security, and network infrastructure and routinely use automation scripts, for example in PowerShell.
You have successfully implemented IT projects and skilfully manage external providers.
You keep an overview even in hectic moments and work in a structured and goal-oriented manner.
Furthermore, you convince with service orientation and social competence and communicate confidently in German and English, both orally and in writing.
