The Department of Organizational Behavior at the Faculty for Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne provides a stimulating and highly interdisciplinary research environment (https://www.unil.ch/ob/home.html). We value the diverse areas of expertise among department members, who hold Ph.D.s in business, management, psychology, economics, and population biology. More broadly, the Faculty of Business and Economics at the University of Lausanne is one of the largest faculties on campus and consists of 10 departments. We publish in top-tier journals in numerous disciplines, including Academy of Management Journal, American Economic Review, Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management, Leadership Quarterly, Nature, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Making Processes, Organizational Research Methods, PNAS, and others. Department members come from several different countries, and the working language of the department is English.
Job information
Expected start date position: September 1st, 2026, or October 1st, 2026
Contract duration: The initial contract is one year. The contract is twice renewable for two years, and thus the maximum funding period is five years.
Type of position: Due to budgetary constraints, if starting on September 1, 2026, the position will be at 80% for the first three months, then increase to 100%. If starting on October 1, 2026, we guarantee a 100% contract.
Salary: According to legal stipulations here

Your responsibilities
- 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to completion of doctoral studies
- 50% of the assistant’s time will be dedicated to providing teaching, administrative, and research support for the supervisor
Your qualifications
We are looking for someone with the following skills:
- Master’s in management, organizational behavior, economics, sociology, psychology, or a related field
- Fluent in English
- Interest in organizational behavior topics and leadership in particular, experimental methods and research methods
- Must be accepted to the doctoral program in management
