Job Description
The mission of the position is to provide a service to the university community in terms of advice and expertise on institutional purchasing, public procurement rules and related applicable laws, in compliance with UNIGE's purchasing policy, including responsible purchasing and internal management procedures. The position also supervises and administers the institutional purchasing portal.
Purpose of the role:
- Supervision and management of the purchasing sector
- Promotion and advice on sustainability (Responsible purchasing and public procurement)
- Supervision of the administration of the SI Engagements Achats (SIEA) portal
- Administrative management
Title and Required Skills
Basic education and possible further training:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, management, HEG
- Continuing education in purchasing or public procurement
Both levels of education are required together.
- Proficiency in IT tools Word, Excel, Internet
- Federal diploma as a "public procurement specialist" is an asset
Professional experience:
At least 2 years of experience in public procurement
Specific knowledge useful for the position, possibly to be acquired on the job:
- Mastery and specialisation in public procurement
- Sense of responsibility and organisation
- Problem solving, analysis and synthesis
- Proficiency in French
- English level B1
