As an expert in Industrial Engineering, you will lead interdisciplinary project teams and actively shape the development and strategic direction of our future Smart Factory. You develop and implement innovative and scalable production solutions along the entire end-to-end value stream, thereby driving our company-wide Smart Factory transformation programme forward. In doing so, you work closely within our matrix organisation with Core Processes, Automation & Robotics as well as interfaces such as Product Management, Development, Production & Logistics, Purchasing and Digital Excellence. Together you further develop processes, systems and standards - harmonised, networked and future-oriented.
Industrial Engineer / Project Lead Product Stream (m/f/d) - 100%
Your typical day
- Overall responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the assigned product stream, including planning, implementation and monitoring of all associated industrialisation activities in line with the goals of the Smart Factory.
- Planning, controlling and implementing industrialisation projects for new and existing products and processes with special consideration of Smart Factory principles such as automability, modularity, digital continuity and scalability.
- Ensuring efficient project plans and implementation of industrialisation projects taking into account quality, schedule and cost indicators.
- Responsibility for the investment planning of projects based on Smart Factory criteria, e.g. scalability, digitalisation impact, energy efficiency and data transparency.
- Definition, further development and implementation of standards, methods, processes in the field of Industry 4.0, Smart Factory and AI.
- Coordination and intensive alignment with interfaces (Development, Design, Quality, Production, External) within the framework of the projects.
- Advising development teams on optimal manufacturability with a focus on Design for Manufacturing & Automation and Design for Smart Factory including early involvement in product development, application of simulation-based planning tools and standardisation of automation principles.
- Identification, evaluation and active management of risks within the product stream through the application of a structured risk management process, including definition and implementation of appropriate mitigation measures.
Your profile
- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, industrial engineering, production technology or a comparable qualification.
- Sound knowledge in lean management, process optimisation and project management.
- Several years of experience in a production-related environment, ideally in the field of Smart Factory / digital production.
- Strong analytical thinking, creativity as well as a solution- and implementation-oriented working style.
- Independent and structured working style as well as communication skills and assertiveness.
- Confident handling of MS Office and ideally experience with SAP, JIRA and Clarity.
- Very good German and English skills, both spoken and written.
