The Labour Inspectorate is committed to safe and healthy working conditions in the Canton of Zurich. We support companies in implementing labour law regulations and make an important contribution to protecting employees through advice, control and prevention.
For our "Occupational Safety and Health Protection" teams, we are looking for two inspectors starting 1 October 2026 and 1 January 2027.
Your tasks:
- Independent preparation, execution and documentation of ASA controls, working time controls, construction inspections and other operational visits directly on site with our customers
- Preparation of confirmation letters, visit reports in commercial, trade and service companies in the Canton of Zurich
- Processing and follow-up of complaints from employees about working time violations or breaches of working conditions
- Active collaboration with internal and external offices
Your profile:
- Completed technical/craft apprenticeship as well as higher professional education (federal specialist certificate or federal diploma HF)
- Many years of professional experience (ideally in the areas of occupational safety/ergonomics and health protection)
- ASGS specialist or willingness to train
- Fluent oral and written expression in German, additional foreign language skills advantageous
- Organisational talent with precise and efficient working style as well as enjoyment of a role with a high field service proportion (at least 60%)
- Confident and assertive manner, high resilience and assertiveness
- Proficient in the use of IT tools
