Foundation "Ombudsman for Private Insurance and Suva"

The Ombudsman office for private insurance and Suva mediates independently, neutrally and free of charge in cases of problems and conflicts with the private insurance companies affiliated with us, Suva and other public law accident insurances in insurance matters. We help to balance the knowledge and power gap between insured persons and insurance companies and to provide those insured persons who are not already represented by a professional with access to justice.

We are looking for a committed and proactive individual as of 1 January 2027 or by arrangement as

Lawyer

Workload: 100 %

Contract type: Permanent employment

Languages: German (native or at least business fluent), good French skills are an advantage

Workplace: Zurich

Your tasks in this role:

• Handling legal and complaint cases (in writing and by phone)
• Conducting negotiations in German, English and preferably also in a second national language
• Assessing and clarifying complex legal issues in all insurance sectors

What you bring to this role:

• Swiss university law degree with lawyer's licence
• Many years of professional experience (at least 3 years) in insurance law, ideally with solid practice in the legal assessment and support of claims cases in the areas of VVG (life and non-life) and UVG
• Independent, conscientious and responsible working style with a strong team orientation
• Negotiation skills, empathy and confident manner in delicate conversation situations
• High commitment and resilience
• Strong service orientation
