About the job
CONTACT, Foundation for Addiction Support, offers services in the field of harm reduction. Its goal is to reduce the risks and negative consequences of substance use for those affected and society. CONTACT is based on the four-pillar model of Swiss addiction policy.
From May 1, 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a
Social Worker / Social Pedagogue, 70%
The offer from CONTACT Mobile is primarily aimed at adults whose place of residence or main living area is in public spaces. The focus is on people at risk of addiction and substance-dependent individuals. To best advise and support the target group in harm reduction matters, the teams of CONTACT Mobile work with professionals, authorities, and other involved persons.
Your tasks are:
- Presence and contact with clients at their locations/meeting points in various municipalities of the canton of Bern
- Providing information, short and crisis interventions, counseling and support for people in difficult life situations
- Referral and networking to appropriate services throughout the canton of Bern
- Taking administrative responsibility for a location
- Syringe supply, provision of prevention materials
- Coaching of self-managed meetings
You bring with you:
- Training as a social worker / social pedagogue
- Knowledge/experience in the addiction field and/or outreach social work is an advantage
- Flexibility and commitment
- Variety of counseling and methods
- Good self-management and independent working style
- Willingness to travel by train to various locations
- Languages: German spoken and written, French spoken (at least A2), additional language skills are an advantage
