Security Architect Zero Trust

Responsibilities

• Definition and documentation of Zero Trust principles and target architectures according to NIST, including Explicit Verification, Least Privilege and continuous assessment of identity, device and context
• Analysis of the existing architecture and security landscape, especially IAM/PAM, AD/Entra, network segmentation, endpoint security, cloud, APIs, service identities, secrets management as well as logging and monitoring
• Development of a holistic Zero Trust domain model for identity, devices, network, applications/workloads and data as well as overarching areas such as visibility, automation and governance
• Definition and prioritisation of technical capabilities, dependencies and concrete Zero Trust use cases as well as creation of actionable roadmaps
• Development of reference architectures, security patterns and technical guardrails as binding guidelines for projects and platform teams
• Design and support of MVPs and pilots to validate architectural approaches, reduce risks and prepare scalable implementation

Requirements

• Several years of experience as a security architect in large regulated environments
• Experience with security architecture (IAM/PAM, network/segmentation, cloud security, application security and data security)
• Profound understanding of established Zero Trust reference models (especially NIST) and their translation into concrete technical architectures and programmes

Advantageous

• Programme management/portfolio experience, experience in leading complex transformation initiatives

Personality

• Sufficient standing and communication skills to work on equal terms with enterprise architecture, CIO organisation, infrastructure teams and application managers and to help shape decisions
