Your tasks:

Become part of the Institute for Social Planning, Organisational Change and Urban Development! As a professor of social policy and social work, you actively shape current social developments. Through your own social policy expertise, you make a substantial contribution to profiling the university focus on social planning and the university. In doing so, you take on the following tasks:

You acquire and lead social policy-oriented research and development projects in cooperation with interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary practice and science
You conceptualize, implement and develop education at the bachelor and master levels as well as in continuing education
You provide services at the interface of social policy and social work
You shape and develop the university focus on social planning according to the strategy of the HSA as well as with your own social policy thematic contributions
You build national and international contacts and networks with practice and science and maintain existing ones
You are available for work assignments at the Olten location

Your profile:

As a winning, enthusiastic and proactive personality with joy in the education and training of social workers, you bring the following:

University degree with a doctorate in social work, social policy or another social science discipline with a focus on social policy
Competencies and experience in acquiring third-party funding, leading complex research and development projects, and designing project-related collaboration with partners from social work practice
Experience in leading, developing and providing education and training as well as the ability to do so, preferably demonstrated by higher education didactic qualifications
Several years of practical experience in social policy-related fields of social work, e.g., in associations or aid organizations
Very good networking with actors from science, social policy and social work practice, especially in the Swiss context
Solid expertise in Swiss social policy, especially in the social security system and (inter)national developments in the social sector
Very good language skills in German, English and ideally French
