Cyber Security Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
Are you looking for a challenge where you can apply your skills as a Cyber Security Engineer? In this role, you take a central part in implementing information security in architecture, development, and operations. You support agile Continuous Delivery teams with technical security issues and work closely with the Chief Information Security Officer. You are responsible for the effective implementation of information security and act as deputy to the CISO. You have the opportunity to take on responsibility, develop further, and expand your skills.
Responsibilities:
You work operationally as part of the 1st Line of Defence in the IT Operations and Support team, with a clear focus on security topics
You act as deputy to the CISO and represent them as needed in defined security topics and committees
You support the CDT with security issues, assess security controls, and contribute to ISDS concepts
You contribute to the development and automation of technical security controls, security assessments, risk analyses, security incidents, and the further development of our cyber resilience
You assess security aspects of cloud, platform, infrastructure, and application architectures and develop appropriate security measures together with the responsible teams
You monitor new threats and technologies and derive concrete measures together with the CISO and IT teams
Qualifications:
- You have an advanced cybersecurity qualification, such as a degree or certifications like CISSP, CCSP, or CISM
- You bring several years of professional experience in IT or cybersecurity, preferably in a technically oriented security or system engineering role
- You are very familiar with Microsoft Azure, cloud security, as well as modern platform and application architectures
- You have experience with DevSecOps, secure development, CI/CD security, security by design, and technical security controls
- You are communicative and enjoy working in a team to convey complex technical matters appropriately to the audience
- You communicate confidently in German both orally and in writing and can also navigate confidently in English-speaking meetings, technical concepts, or documentation
