With over 146,000 insured persons and 433 affiliated employers, BVK is the largest pension fund in Switzerland. It is a private law foundation and has a large portfolio of directly held properties. In Switzerland, it rents out over 6,300 apartments and more than 340,000 m² of office and commercial space and has a strategic pipeline with development projects. BVK also uses its real estate expertise for the granting of mortgages. It manages investment assets of around 45.8 billion Swiss francs. Responsible investing is an integral part of the investment activity. We are looking for support for our construction management immediately or by arrangement.

Your main tasks

• Overall responsibility for project management from planning to commissioning
• Ensuring target specifications regarding costs, quality, deadlines and sustainability across all project phases
• Independently preparing decision-making bases and drafting proposals
• Contract management and timely awarding of contracts
• Reporting, budgeting and controlling support
• Support with repositioning, renovations and conversions
• Quality assurance and further development of processes and tools
• Support with analyses, data evaluations and organisational development

What you bring

• Completed studies as architect/civil engineer ETH/FH, additional training in project management, sustainability or business administration advantageous
• Several years of experience as client representative and/or in project management in Switzerland
• Confident German language skills in spoken and written form, French skills highly desirable
• Ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and lead complex projects
• Ability to work independently, structured and solution-oriented
• Very good knowledge of project and construction process management, demonstrable architectural and construction technical knowledge as well as sound legal knowledge (construction and contract law) and Swiss standards
• Competence in economic assessment of construction projects and construction economics (construction cost/revenue ratio, benchmarking)
• Interest in leading projects in Romandy and German-speaking Switzerland
• Integrative personality with high commitment, persuasiveness, motivation and assertiveness
