The main department of computer science is the central competence and service center for IT for the administrations of the canton and the municipalities, the schools, the cantonal police, the courts, and other clients from the public sector. It is responsible for the operation of the ICT infrastructure in the areas of PC/laptop workplaces, network, servers, storage, security, unified communication, office automation, as well as specialist and e-government applications.
For the support and helpdesk area, we are looking for a
IT Specialist – ICT Supporter 100 %
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Installation and maintenance of clients, peripheral devices, and mobile devices
- Second-level support and collaboration in the helpdesk
- Maintenance, upkeep, and expansion of the ICT systems
- Planning and execution of Windows clients and Apple iPad rollouts
- Management of mobile devices (Apple School Manager, Filewave)
- Software deployment for Windows clients (MS Intune)
- Participation in projects for the introduction of new systems and applications
Requirements
- Completed vocational training as an IT specialist in system technology or business informatics or comparable qualification, ideally with experience in support and operations
- Proven knowledge in Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Windows Client, O365, AD)
- Very good German language skills, both spoken and written
- Team player with a passion for independent work in a dynamic environment
- Willingness to learn new things and tackle challenges flexibly
- Personable personality with a high customer and service orientation
- Driving license type B
