Specialist Planner Radio Technology / Tunnel Radio 80 - 100% (m/f/d)
Your Job
- Radio coverage and tunnel radio planning for the relevant services and technologies: operational radio, railway radio GSM-R/FRMCS/ETCS, safety radio Polycom (TETRAPOL) as well as public mobile services (LTE/5G) – including coverage/radio concepts, link budgets and system design (considering active components, coupling boxes, antennas, leaky cables, etc.)
- Technical leadership of internal and external radio specialists and measurement technicians: You set the technical specifications, check the results and, together with your specialist team, are responsible for system stability and availability
- Management and coordination of external radio service providers and subcontractors: technical specifications, approvals, quality and schedule control
- Establishment and leadership of the on-call organisation for fault and incident cases
- Repair and maintenance management: prioritisation, escalation, follow-up until proven resolution
- Technical interface to customers, network operators and authorities from the concept phase to acceptance and during maintenance
- Participation in the further development of system solutions and measurement methods
Your Profile
- University of Applied Sciences degree in electrical engineering/telecommunications with several years of relevant HF/radio practice, or ETH/university degree with proven potential to specialise in tunnel radio
- Relevant experience in HF/radio systems, ideally from the environment of mobile radio, tunnel radio or RF engineering
- Sound understanding of HF measurement technology and coverage measurement: You create, read and assess measurement reports
- Experience in the technical leadership of specialists and in managing external service providers
- Confident even in complex, safety-critical situations; you keep an overview of costs and deadlines
- Independent, assertive, quality- and responsibility-conscious
- Driving licence category B
- Good German and English skills; French is an advantage
