Acute ward B1 with a treatment focus on neuropsychiatry
The ward, which has an assessment character, focuses both on conducting multidimensional diagnostics and on treating mobile and immobile patients with psychiatric accompanying symptoms, motor restlessness, behavioural abnormalities, as well as self- and external endangerment in the context of dementia or delirium.
During a short- to medium-term inpatient treatment, we help to stabilise complex situations by incorporating resource-oriented and milieu-therapeutic approaches as well as pharmacological interventions. In collaboration with our social services, we advise the caregiving relatives/carers and seek suitable follow-up support options or future appropriate care forms. Palliative care plays a significant role in the treatment of people with dementia.
Ward B1 has 17 beds and an additional room for sensory shielding. Our nursing team consists of specialists in psychiatric nursing, long-term care, and acute somatic care.
