Azure DevOps Engineer (GenAI Platform)

Responsibilities

• Building, operating and continuously developing a modern GenAI platform based on Microsoft Azure
• Configuring and managing Azure cloud resources, especially Azure API Management, Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Document Intelligence and Storage Accounts
• Provisioning and managing platform infrastructure as code (Infrastructure as Code) with Terraform, Helm Charts and GitLab
• Automating build, test and release processes for GenAI applications in the LLMOps area to ensure reliable and efficient deployments in development, test and production environments.
• Operating and further developing Kubernetes-based applications and services, for example Langfuse.
• Implementing and optimising monitoring, logging and alerting solutions with tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Azure Monitor.
• Monitoring system performance, availability and logs as well as early detection and resolution of operational issues.
• Developing and implementing technical concepts for new requirements as well as for the ongoing optimisation of the GenAI platform.
• Considering company-wide and regulatory requirements and coordinating with IT security, domain architecture and other relevant stakeholders.
• Implementing and further developing functions for authorisation checks, logging, monitoring and routing logic.
• Supporting client applications with technical and conceptual questions, integrations and onboarding as well as with disruptions in ongoing operations

Requirements

• Solid experience with DevOps toolchains and automation, especially Git, GitLab, Docker and Terraform.
• In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform, especially in the areas of Azure API Management, Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure AI Document Intelligence, Azure AI Foundry and Azure Storage Accounts
• Knowledge in the field of DevOps, including the use of monitoring tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor), logging systems and alerting
• Project experience with GenAI technologies, especially Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and Agentic AI
• Fluent German language skills

Advantageous

• Experience in optimising and operating GenAI solutions in production as well as with LLMOps
• Solid knowledge in authentication and authorisation, especially with Microsoft Entra ID, Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and OAuth
• Programming experience with Python and/or Java. Knowledge of IBM MQ Series, Oracle DB or PostgreSQL
