About the job
You build the stage on which our brand becomes tangible.
Trade fairs and events in Switzerland and internationally, right in the heart of the motorcycle and mountain bike scene: You ensure that the iXS brand convinces in live marketing.
ABOUT iXS
We commit to protect. You commit to ride.
Since 1979, we have been developing highly functional protective clothing for motorcycles and mountain bikes in Sursee and are represented worldwide. We have been awarded multiple times with the Design & Innovation Award and are closely connected with athletes and key opinion leaders from the motorcycle and mountain bike world globally. iXS is part of the hostettler group.
THIS IS WHAT IT'S ABOUT
At trade fairs and events, dealers, distributors, media, as well as end consumers, experience our brand up close. A strong presence is created together: marketing managers develop goals, messages, and content. Sales, product management, graphics, partners, and service providers contribute their expertise. You turn this into a presentation that works and hold the reins from the initial planning to the debriefing. Additionally, you support the marketing team with logistics and administration, from samples for our sponsored athletes to the invoice from the stand builder.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- An evolving event mix: We continuously review which trade fairs and events are worthwhile and test new formats. Your experience and ideas flow directly into this
- Two worlds, two target groups: You move within the motorcycle and mountain bike scenes and implement each appearance so that it resonates within its scene
- A job with seasonal dynamics: During intense phases, you are on the road, including weekends. Quieter times are used for planning and further development
- Collaboration as a success factor: You report to the Head of Marketing and work closely with internal departments, team members, partners, and our distributors at home and abroad, because we believe success is created together
Your Tasks
- You plan, organise, and implement trade fairs, dealer and brand events, as well as scene events in Switzerland and internationally, independently from registration to dismantling, and are present at the most important occasions
- You manage external partners, agencies, and service providers
- You implement product and brand presentations together with internal departments
- You support the sales team at sales meetings and in the showrooms
- You measure the success of each event and improve our appearances from time to time
- You organise the shipping of product samples to athletes and media as well as logistics for shoots at home and abroad
- You procure displays, POS materials, giveaways, and merchandise, manage stock and inventory, and keep budgets, offers, and invoices under control
Your Profile
- At least 3 years of experience with trade fairs and events, ideally international and in the two-wheeler, sports, or outdoor industry, as well as training or further education in event or marketing
- You keep an overview of several projects simultaneously and are familiar with budgets, service providers, and logistics abroad including customs
- You have an eye for spatial presentation and appear confident towards internal and external partners as well as within your team
- Collaboration is important to you: You involve other departments, partners, and service providers early and pull together with them
- You are hands-on, help with setup and dismantling, and remain calm when things get hectic
- You communicate confidently in German and English and are proficient with Microsoft 365 and project management tools. French and Italian are a plus
- You enjoy working in the office as well as on the road, including weekends during the season
- You hold a category B driving licence
We are especially pleased if you yourself ride a motorcycle or mountain bike and know the scene from the inside.
