The Cantonal School Uster is a long and short gymnasium with all maturity profiles including immersion teaching. About 1100 students from Uster and the region are taught by a team of more than 160 teachers.
We are looking for a committed assistant or assistant mbA starting February 1, 2026, or by agreement. As a member of the school management, you will take overall responsibility for administration and operations as well as the financial management of our cantonal school. You will lead a dedicated team from the secretariat, BZU operations management and building services, laboratory assistance, BZU library, and other administrative areas. In close collaboration with the pedagogical school management, you will ensure smooth organization and further development of our central services.

Your tasks
- Leadership and development of the subordinate employees
- Ensuring and optimizing administrative processes
- Responsibility for infrastructure and IT in collaboration with BZU operations management and BZU IT services
- Budget planning, controlling, and accounting in collaboration with the rector and the accounting department of the secretariat
- Personnel administration, such as hiring, substitutes, vacations
- Ensuring internal and external communication including web presence
- Representation of the school in administrative matters, participation in conventions, school management meetings, and school commission meetings
Your profile
- Commercial training with higher vocational training (HF/FH) and further education in leadership or public management
- Several years of professional and leadership experience, preferably in the education sector
- Organizational talent with high personal responsibility and social competence
- Proficient in IT applications and handling administrative processes
- High loyalty, discretion, and identification with the educational mission
