IT System Engineer

Tasks

• Ensuring stable and secure IT operations, including monitoring, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Taking over 2nd-/3rd-level support for specialist applications as well as close cooperation with internal departments and external partners.
• Participation in the design, maintenance and further development of the system landscape (including backup, security and documentation) and interfaces between applications.
• Monitoring interfaces as well as creating and performing data imports and exports.
• Identifying optimisation potential and continuously improving processes and standards.
• Developing foundations and concepts for upcoming IT projects and participating in larger IT specialist projects.

Profile

• Advanced technical college qualification in computer science
• At least three years of experience as an IT System Engineer and in IT support
• Certification according to ITIL, knowledge of project management methods (Hermes)
• Very good Microsoft database and server knowledge
• Experience in public administration is an advantage

Our IT Operations team is responsible for the operation and further development of more than 50 specialist applications as well as for 1,500 users in six service departments and seven school districts.
