- Design and implementation of new software components from the idea to productive integration
- Active Java development with a high coding share and direct technical responsibility
- Co-design of modern software architectures as well as development of sustainable design concepts
- Modernisation of existing applications with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Ensuring high software quality through Clean Code and proven development standards
- Further development of central components, tools, and frameworks in small development teams
- Independent implementation of demanding development tasks and technical architecture decisions
- Several years of professional experience in Java development and with productively used software systems
- Profound knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, software design, and the development of complex applications
- Experience with software architectures, design patterns, and Clean Code, ideally complemented by a CAS/MAS in Software Engineering or Software Architecture
- Knowledge of Spring Boot and SQL, ideally PostgreSQL; experience with message queues or Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage
- Confident handling of complex codebases as well as experience in refactoring, performance optimisation, and scaling
- Strong hands-on mentality, analytical thinking, high personal responsibility, and enjoyment of sustainable software development
- Fluent German skills (C2) and very good English skills (B2)
- High coding share with a focus on demanding Java development
- Large scope for design in software architecture, design, and technical decisions

Responsibilities
- Development and further development of an established software platform with Java- Design and implementation of new software components from the idea to productive integration
- Active Java development with a high coding share and direct technical responsibility
- Co-design of modern software architectures as well as development of sustainable design concepts
- Modernisation of existing applications with a focus on performance, maintainability, and scalability
- Ensuring high software quality through Clean Code and proven development standards
- Further development of central components, tools, and frameworks in small development teams

Profile
- Completed training as an IT specialist EFZ application development, certified IT specialist HF, or computer science degree (Bachelor/Master, FH, university or ETH)- Several years of professional experience in Java development and with productively used software systems
- Profound knowledge of Java, object-oriented programming, software design, and the development of complex applications
- Experience with software architectures, design patterns, and Clean Code, ideally complemented by a CAS/MAS in Software Engineering or Software Architecture
