Asylum Caseworker

Your tasks

• Managing and maintaining relevant data in the Central Migration Information System (ZEMIS), especially entries, changes and extensions in the asylum area
• Reviewing applications for residence permits in hardship cases
• Handling immigration law matters for persons from the asylum sector
• Applying for travel documents for foreign persons from the asylum sector
• Recording biometric data for the issuance of foreigner identity cards
• Managing the general counter and telephone service as well as providing information on migration and asylum law matters

Requirements

• Commercial clerk with a federal VET diploma and several years of professional experience
• Sensitivity to persons with a migration background
• Assertiveness, precise and efficient working style
• Good English skills and additional spoken foreign language skills are an advantage
