• Structural systems and technologies (post-tensioning technology)
• Building and civil engineering (bridges, infrastructure, tunnels)
• Soil and foundation engineering, maintenance,
• Renovation and strengthening of structures

In Switzerland, VSL is present at the Subingen site with its own production facility. The team manufactures and manages technical construction components for national and international projects.

Your Role & Main Tasks

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on personality with a solid background in construction who independently manages construction sites in the post-tensioning sector and takes operational responsibility on site.

You coordinate the post-tensioning work directly on site, pitch in when it matters, and ensure that deadlines, quality, and safety are met – even in demanding situations. Whether on a bridge construction site, an infrastructure project, or a special project: at VSL you work on structures that set standards.

Site Management & Coordination

• Independent management and execution of various construction sites in the post-tensioning and strengthening sector
• Coordination with clients, project engineers, and execution teams as well as with internal VSL departments
• Compliance with deadlines, quality, and safety requirements

Leadership & Planning

• Technical leadership of supervisors and employees at multiple work sites
• Economic deployment and resource planning (personnel, equipment, materials)
• Support in work preparation and reporting

Occupational Safety

• Implementation of occupational safety measures and SUVA guidelines

Your Profile

Education & Experience

• Vocational training in the construction industry (e.g. concrete worker, bricklayer or comparable)
• Several years of experience in building or civil engineering
• Further training as a certified technician HF in construction management or degree as a civil engineer FH/ETH is an advantage

Languages

• German: native speaker or business fluent (mandatory)
• English: good knowledge – English is the internal working language at VSL

Personality

• Hands-on mentality and independent working style Leadership skills with clear, direct communication
• Flexible, resilient, and solution-oriented – even under pressure
• Willingness to travel within Switzerland

Driving Licence

• Category B mandatory, category E (trailer) advantageous
