We support older people with psychiatric illnesses in acute and complex life situations and create perspectives for everyday life together with them.
For our open inpatient geriatric psychiatry with 17 beds at the Burgdorf location, we are looking for a committed and professionally skilled person immediately or by arrangement.
Area of responsibility
- Resource- and person-centred care and support of experienced older adults.
- Support and maintenance of independence as well as promotion of everyday skills of our patients
- Participation in therapeutic group offerings
- Crisis intervention and support in challenging situations
- Interprofessional treatment planning as well as key person nursing
- Early detection of somatic condition changes and initiation of appropriate nursing measures
Profile
- Diploma as a nursing specialist HF/FH or equivalent, recognised qualification in Switzerland
- Interest in psychiatric nursing and working with older people
- Experience in psychiatry or geriatric psychiatry is an advantage
- Enjoyment in shaping therapeutic relationships within the framework of key person nursing
- Responsible and reflective working style
- Strong team skills and enjoyment of interdisciplinary collaboration
- High social and communication competence
- Resilient, flexible and solution-oriented personality
