TEAM MANAGER CARGO (M/F/D)

MISSION

Ensure optimal administrative and operational functioning of your unit. Lead and supervise all personnel under your responsibility, manage and promote the personal development of the Duty Managers reporting to you. Be responsible for safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and Swissport values.

MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ensure optimal functioning of the unit in all aspects, in collaboration with other Team Managers and the Head of Cargo
• Ensure staff engagement and operational efficiency while respecting allocated budgets and operational needs
• Supervise and motivate staff by setting measurable conduct objectives and ensuring regular follow-up
• Act proactively as a "Key Account Manager" with our clients, regularly/spontaneously contacting them, initiating required actions, and systematically reporting to the Head of Cargo
• Develop and optimise operational procedures to improve performance and service quality
• Ensure strict compliance with safety and regulatory standards related to airport regulations and Swissport standards
• Analyse performance indicators (KPIs) and propose corrective actions to optimise unit efficiency
• Ensure continuous training and skills development of employees to support their career progression within the company
• Actively participate in continuous improvement projects and Swissport’s strategic initiatives

SKILL PROFILE

• Proven experience as a Manager in logistics
• Experience in airport operations or air freight is an asset
• Excellent knowledge of operational and resource management processes, from planning to execution
• Natural leadership, ability to inspire and unite teams in a demanding and constantly evolving environment
• Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and interpersonal ease to interact with clients and internal teams
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive and solution-oriented approach
• Excellent command of French and English, spoken and written
• Ability to draft procedures and work instructions, as well as commercial correspondence for our clients
• Full mastery of required IT tools, knowledge of systems used in air freight management is an asset
