Head of Partnerships and Philanthropy

To strengthen this top-level research, PSI is expanding its philanthropic engagement and creating a strategic key position: We are looking for a forward-looking and convincing personality who will systematically further develop fundraising and establish long-term partnerships with private individuals, foundations, and companies.

• Main responsibility for the development and implementation of the fundraising strategy at PSI in close cooperation with the management and central stakeholders 
• Building and maintaining funding partnerships for priority research and infrastructure projects, including proton therapy research for cancer treatment as well as talent programs 
• Development of communication measures including project dossiers. You represent the values of PSI and inspire with authentic storytelling 
• Conducting inspiring events and lab visits involving internal stakeholders and making efficient use of resources 
• Responsibility for annual fundraising planning, donation acknowledgments, and transparent financial reporting

• Committed personality with pronounced implementation strength and joy in collaborating with diverse stakeholders 
• Proven success in major donor fundraising with personal responsibility for building and developing strategic partnerships or comparable philanthropic acquisition successes in the Swiss foundation and scientific environment
• Experience in the academic environment with universities, research institutions, or science-related organizations is an advantage
• Holistic thinking combined with goal orientation and pronounced service orientation
• Excellent communication skills in German and English as well as high sociability, networking strength, and negotiation confidence
