DevOps Cloud Engineer (m/f/d)

Role:
As a Cloud Engineer, you actively shape a modern platform environment and ensure that infrastructure, automation, and operations work reliably together. You bring your experience in complex cloud environments, continuously develop existing solutions, and take responsibility for technical matters from implementation to stable operation.
Responsibilities:
You develop and operate a central cloud platform for administrations and schools.
You administer Windows and Linux servers as well as containerised workloads.
You build network and database infrastructures, operate them, and continuously optimise them.
You implement Infrastructure as Code with Terraform and automate deployments via CI/CD pipelines.
You further develop monitoring, logging, and observability and ensure high transparency in platform operations.
You implement appropriate security measures and contribute to the secure further development of the platform.
You automate recurring tasks with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
You work closely with product development and operations and take technical responsibility throughout the entire lifecycle.
You analyse metrics and logs, recognise correlations, and derive concrete optimisations from them.
Qualifications:
You have a higher vocational training or a degree in computer science or a comparable qualification.
You bring several years of experience in building and operating cloud and container infrastructures.
You work confidently with Docker and Kubernetes and are familiar with modern platform architectures.
You have practical experience with Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Git.
You routinely automate with PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
You feel at home in both Windows and Linux environments.
You have knowledge of C# and .NET and can independently implement minor adjustments to existing components.
You know observability solutions such as Grafana, Prometheus, or Loki and can interpret technical data competently.
You work independently, solution-oriented, and keep an overview even with complex platform issues.
You have fluent German skills in spoken and written form.
