About us

The University of Bern offers over 140 continuing education programmes. The Lifelong Learning Center (LLC) supports and advises the institutes of the University of Bern in the planning, organisation, promotion, implementation and evaluation of continuing education programmes and offers its own continuing education courses.
For the development of future-oriented and sustainable continuing education offerings in a competitive market as well as the key figure-based further development of the portfolio, we are looking for a dynamic and committed personality with economic thinking and a flair for numbers.

Tasks

• Advising programme managers on target group, needs and market analyses as well as the preparation of business plans; development of innovative consulting instruments and tools.
• Participation in the further development of the continuing education portfolio through economic analyses and decision-making bases; development of legal and organisational foundations.
• Establishment and maintenance of key figure-based monitoring and reporting for continuing education including evaluations with the course evaluation software evasys.
• Conceptual further development of the processes for continuing education overhead charges in SAP in cooperation with the finance department as well as financial reporting.
• Management of the continuing education fund: responsibility for tendering, awarding process, financial management, evaluation and reporting.

Requirements

• University degree at master’s level or university continuing education in educational management or with a business administration focus or comparable qualification.
• Professional experience in business consulting, financial management, controlling or data-based portfolio management.
• Consulting competence, ability to work in a team, enjoyment of exchange with various stakeholders and strong communication skills.
• Economic and analytical thinking.
• Experience with key figures and reporting as well as enjoyment of careful data maintenance.
• Very good Excel skills; knowledge of evasys or willingness to acquire it.
• Interest in the Swiss higher education continuing education market and willingness to familiarise yourself with its framework conditions.
• Very good German and English skills.
