Lawyer* Public Personnel Law

Tasks

• You advise internal city departments – such as project managers, HR officers and lawyers of the city administration – on all legal questions concerning the employment relationship and contribute to ensuring the uniform application of the personnel law regulations of the City of Zurich.
• You participate in legislation and further develop the personnel law foundations of the City of Zurich, draft and edit proposals to the City Council, statements, contracts, reports as well as presentations and handle political motions and questions from parliamentary commissions.
• You develop training modules and teach in internal training offers.

Profile

• Completed law degree (MLaw or lic. iur.), preferably with a lawyer’s licence
• Professional experience, preferably in the public administration and ideally in-depth knowledge of public personnel law, labour law and related legal areas as well as general administrative law
• Interest in political issues and skilled handling of various stakeholders
• Excellent language skills in German
• Decisive, service- and action-oriented personality
