Ideal Office Location: HQ Fribourg (Hybrid)
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the EHS team (4 employees) with nationwide responsibility
- Ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements (SUVA, EKAS 6508, UVG, VUV, environmental regulations)
- Develop and implement strategies to reduce workplace accidents and occupational illnesses
- Promote a proactive safety culture across all levels of the organization
- Conduct safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments
- Advise leadership and collaborate closely with authorities and internal stakeholders
- Manage training concepts and deliver EHS-related training programs for managers, employees, and subcontractors
- Analyze incidents and derive sustainable corrective and preventive actions
- Oversee EHS reporting and KPI management
Your Profile
- University degree (e.g., Electrical or Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent qualification, such as a Swiss EHS diploma, complemented by several years of relevant professional experience
- Qualification in occupational health & safety (e.g., ASGS Specialist, SiBe, or equivalent)
- Proven experience in EHS / occupational safety, ideally in an industrial environment
- Strong knowledge of Swiss safety regulations (UVG, EKAS 6508)
- EKAS-recognized certification is an advantage
- Experience working with SUVA and regulatory authorities is desirable
- Strong leadership, communication, and assertiveness skills
- Languages: Fluent German and English, and ideally good knowledge of French
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland (approximately 50%)
