Role:
Do you want to design, automate, and technically advance complex IT infrastructures to the next level? In this position, you will play a central role in the further development of modern network and virtualisation solutions. You combine solid Linux expertise with infrastructure automation and ensure that systems run efficiently, securely, and reliably.
You can expect a technically demanding environment where you can contribute your own ideas, establish new technologies, and drive sustainable improvements.
Responsibilities:
You design, operate, and optimise scalable network and system infrastructures, ensuring their stability and availability.
You develop automation solutions using tools such as Ansible and Puppet to make operational processes more efficient and reproducible.
You further develop the virtualisation platform based on Apache CloudStack and improve its automation, maintainability, and operational security.
You analyse complex faults, investigate performance bottlenecks, and implement sustainable measures for troubleshooting and prevention.
You optimise monitoring, deployment, and infrastructure processes and introduce new technologies into ongoing operations.
Qualifications:
You have completed a degree in computer science or a comparable education and have several years of professional experience in infrastructure or DevOps engineering.
You are very familiar with Linux systems, network technology, and IT security, for example with Debian, Ubuntu, Juniper, or Fortinet.
You have experience with automation and orchestration, such as with Ansible, Puppet, Terraform, Jenkins, and monitoring solutions like Zabbix.
You are familiar with virtualisation technologies such as Apache CloudStack, Proxmox, or VMware and are interested in container runtime and container platforms.
You analyse technical contexts systematically, act solution-oriented, and work independently as well as in a team. Good German and English skills complete your profile.
