About the job
The Analytics & Self-Services group develops and operates the central analytics platform based on Hadoop, Apache Spark and OpenShift at Raiffeisen. This enables the business units to gain meaningful insights from our data with machine learning and AI applications, thereby creating added value for the Raiffeisen organisation and its customers.To further develop and operate this forward-looking platform, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a data-enthusiastic and solution-oriented personality as Senior Big Data Platform Engineer (m/f/d).
Senior Big Data Platform Engineer (m/f/d)
What can you expect?
- Design and development of scalable data solutions for our analytics platform
- Building and optimisation of automated deployment, configuration and operational processes
- Close collaboration with data scientists, analysts and stakeholders to implement requirements efficiently and with high quality
- Evaluation and integration of new technologies and tools to expand platform functionality for our data engineers and data scientists
- Monitoring & observability, performance and resource optimisation, life-cycle management as well as reliable, smooth platform operation
What do you bring with you?
- Practical experience in data engineering, platform engineering or in building and operating data platforms
- Strong programming skills in Python, Apache Spark and good Linux knowledge
- Understanding of modern data architectures and distributed systems concepts
- Experience with container platforms (Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker) for microservice development
- Solid knowledge of CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code (GitOps, ArgoCD, Helm)
- Very good German and English skills, spoken and written
- Degree, solid education or training in computer science
