The Balcons du Lac Foundation brings together the EMS Les Palmiers in Montreux, the EMS Résidence Les Laurelles in Territet, the EMS Les Rosiers in Blonay, two temporary reception centres in Montreux and Villeneuve, as well as adapted housing with support in Blonay. It employs around 180 staff across all sectors.
To complete our SAMS (Medico-social Support Structures) team in our LADA (Adapted Housing with Support) facility in Blonay, we wish to recruit on a permanent basis a:
Social Referent at 45%
Your mission:
As a social referent, you are a key contact for tenants and actively contribute to enabling them to live at home in a safe, friendly and autonomy-promoting environment.
In this context, you:
- Welcome new tenants, inform them about the operation of the LADA and support them in settling in;
- Develop a relationship of trust based on listening, availability and respect for each person’s autonomy;
- Identify the needs or difficulties encountered by tenants and, when necessary, direct them to appropriate services and support;
- Ensure coordination with various partners in the social, medico-social and health network, notably CMS and other home service providers;
- Maintain a regular presence with tenants and help provide them with a secure living environment;
- Encourage social relationships, friendliness and tenant participation in the life of the residence;
- Design and organise socio-cultural activities and events adapted to the interests and needs of tenants and contribute to prevention and health promotion actions, particularly regarding fall prevention, physical activity, nutrition, safety or maintaining social ties;
- Promote self-organisation and tenant involvement in collective life;
- Support neighbourhood dynamics and act as a resource person in case of difficulties or conflicts, prioritising prevention and mediation;
- Provide, when necessary, occasional administrative or practical support, respecting the limits of the role and complementing existing services;
- Manage and oversee the use of the communal space, particularly in connection with the activities offered;
- Participate in supervision meetings within the institution and in continuing training related to the role within the LADA.
Your profile (F or M):
- Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as a socio-educational assistant or equivalent;
- Driving licence;
- Experience in the field of elderly care;
- Strong interest in supporting elderly people and maintaining their autonomy;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to build a trusting relationship with people from diverse backgrounds and needs;
- Ability to work independently and autonomously;
- Good organisational skills;
- Dynamic, open and caring personality, with a real sense of responsibility;
- Good IT skills, especially with common professional software in the field (DIR, etc.).
