In an environment with 12 tendering and procurement projects as well as around 50 modernisation projects of rail vehicles, we are looking for you to strengthen our team. We create the conditions for planning security and availability in rail operations by providing modern, reliable and requirement-compliant trains on time for operation. In addition, we are responsible for the documentary and technical maturity of quality in our procurement projects. This is what you can achieve.

• As an operational sub-project manager, you are responsible for achieving the targeted quality level of new fleet procurements and modernised vehicles including their documentation, at the interface between suppliers, operators and other internal SBB stakeholders.
• In this demanding project role, you act competently towards internal and external stakeholders, coordinate schedules and are responsible for the flow of information across the various project phases.
• You ensure the maturity of quality and its development throughout the project.
• In addition, you proactively support the further development of existing processes, methods and systems in the field of quality assurance and ensure their compliance in the projects. Thus, you make a significant contribution to the overall performance of the Rolling Stock Integration area.
• You regularly travel throughout Switzerland, on site at suppliers (in eastern or western Switzerland) or in the SBB workshops (Olten and Yverdon), possibly also abroad.

• Your analytical and networked thinking helps you with complex and cross-departmental issues. Working in a matrix organisation and in a remote team is an exciting challenge for you.
• With your confident manner and strong communication skills, you convince even critical voices and seek common solutions which you also know how to enforce.
• Even in demanding situations, you always remain calm and keep an overview with a focus on the essentials.
• With your experience in project management, ideally complemented by an IPMA certification, you are aware of your responsibility as a technical lead. You integrate effortlessly into organisations and always appear competent and confident in project teams.
• You have a technical education at FH/University level (e.g. mechanical engineering or comparable) as well as experience in quality management, especially with a focus on the development of quality maturity.
• You are fluent in German, and knowledge of another national language such as French or Italian is a great advantage.
