Specialist Asylum and Refugee Coordination 70 - 80 %
Your tasks
- Review and clarification of claims as well as ensuring economic and personal support based on the Social Assistance Act, the Asylum Care Ordinance, the SKOS guidelines, and the requirements of the social authority
- Assertion of legal claims against third parties taking into account the subsidiarity principle
- Advice and support for individuals and families in challenging life situations
- Planning, coordination, and implementation of appropriate measures in close cooperation with the internal housing coaching office as well as with external specialists, institutions, and authorities
- Promotion and support of clients in their professional, social, and cultural integration through targeted and resource-oriented counseling according to the Zurich Integration Agenda
- Function as the municipality's integration officer including collaboration and coordination of existing integration projects according to the service agreement with the cantonal specialist office for integration issues
- Assumption and care of individual social assistance cases with a migration background
Your profile
- Advanced professional training (social worker FH or equivalent qualification)
- Proven professional experience in the asylum sector
- Strong intercultural competence
- Experience in integration projects
- High degree of independence as well as motivation to independently drive tasks forward
- Negotiation skills as well asassertiveness and ability to set boundaries
- Independent, well-organized, and reliable working style
- Proven IT user skills as well as good administrative abilities
- Very good oral and written expression in German as well as good foreign language skills in English and French
- Flexibility and willingness for occasional assignments outside regular working hours
