Medical Assistant for the Occupational Medicine Service
The Occupational and Corporate Medicine Service of the CHUV is looking for a medical assistant at an activity rate of 80% to 100% to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for 1 September 2026 or as agreed. This is a permanent contract.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and the EPFL, the CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research and education.
The Occupational and Corporate Medicine Service collaborates with other stakeholders in the prevention of occupational risks and the improvement of working conditions. It has specialised and multidisciplinary skills and provides various services for the protection and promotion of health and safety at work.
Mission
- You manage the reception and administrative management of consultations in compliance with the CHUV directives
- You handle telephone calls and emails, adapting your communication according to the particular context of each user
- You direct the interlocutor according to their needs, perform an initial triage to recognise medical emergencies, reassure and assess the urgency level for medical and nursing consultations
- You manage appointment scheduling, prepare files for consultations, and handle consultation reports
- You carry out all administrative activities related to outpatient consultations, respecting data confidentiality and current directives
- You provide first-line advice and medication according to the protocols in force within the service
- You participate in the service's prevention campaigns, notably vaccination campaigns
- You contribute to the quality, development and improvement of the service's offerings, promoting collaboration within the team.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as a medical assistant or an equivalent recognised qualification
- You have at least 4 years of professional experience in the field
- You are proficient with office IT tools. Knowledge of CHUV-specific IT tools (Axya, Relact, etc.) is a real asset
- You stand out notably for your writing skills and excellent spelling. Knowledge of English is an advantage
- You are a versatile, organised and autonomous person. Your collaborative spirit, interpersonal skills and ability to manage priorities allow you to follow and manage several files simultaneously
- You have a service-oriented attitude and interpersonal skills and appreciate teamwork
- You are comfortable in an environment that requires flexibility and versatility.
