Nurse for the Innovative Therapies Unit
The Oncology Department is looking for a nurse with a workload between 80% and 100% for its Innovative Therapies Unit.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
Care is provided within the framework of comprehensive and individualised management by an interdisciplinary team offering high-level clinical, technical, and research expertise.
Mission
- You ensure the identification, planning, execution of delegated medical acts, and evaluation of nursing care through mastery of clinical evaluation based on evidence specific to clinical research in oncology
- You coordinate and ensure continuity of care
- You participate in the conduct of a clinical study
- You guarantee the protection of the human being
- You contribute to science and clinical projects.
Profile
- You hold a HES nursing diploma (or an equivalent title, as well as recognition from the Red Cross for staff qualified abroad, mandatory)
- You have at least a B2 level in French
- You have at least a C1 level in English
- You have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in oncology
- You demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and adapt your communication appropriately depending on your interlocutors (sponsors, teams, patients). You ensure clear, rigorous, and effective written and oral transmissions, promoting quality collaboration and optimal understanding of information
- You have knowledge in clinical research: regulatory affairs, design/reading of a research protocol
- You possess strong coordination skills, supported by good knowledge of internal and external networks as well as the Swiss healthcare system. You are able to establish relevant links between these different actors and the specific requirements of clinical studies to ensure their smooth running
- You have knowledge in clinical evaluation specific to oncology and grading of side effects
- You are very comfortable with IT tools and various data collection methods. You master the patient record as well as the documentary requirements specific to clinical research, ensuring the quality, reliability, and compliance of the data collected
- You master office and IT tools used at CHUV
- You have leadership skills (desired)
