Then you are exactly right with us: In this exciting, responsible role you ensure that construction and planning projects have no negative impact on our groundwater. You effectively implement the legal basis. In doing so, you make an essential contribution to sustainable groundwater protection in the Canton of Bern.

Your tasks

• Professional assessment of construction and planning projects regarding rainwater infiltration, interventions in groundwater, and projects in groundwater protection zones
• Prepare statements and issue water protection permits
• Advise municipalities, authorities, water suppliers and private individuals on structural groundwater protection
• Participate in exciting special projects and professionally accompany complex construction projects relevant to groundwater protection

Your profile

• Education: University degree as environmental engineer, geologist, civil engineer or comparable scientific education
• Experience: Several years of practical experience in rainwater disposal, (hydro-)geology or civil engineering
• Articulate: Very good German skills in spoken and written form as well as good French skills
• Enthusiasm for groundwater protection
• Committed, team-oriented personality who keeps an overview even in hectic moments
• Strong decision-making and organisational skills, quick comprehension
