The Intercantonal University of Special Education (HfH) is the most important Swiss competence centre for special and remedial education with around 2,000 students. In teaching, research and services, we are committed to participation and educational equity. For the Centre for Education and Continuing Education ZAW, we are looking for a committed personality to start immediately or by arrangement.
The ZAW is responsible for the strategic, conceptual and operational management of education and continuing education at the HfH. It coordinates and develops study and continuing education programmes, ensures their quality and manages the study operations, continuing education management as well as student and staff mobility. It works closely with the institutes, programme directors, partner universities and other stakeholders. The centre management is responsible for the content-related, strategic and operational leadership of the centre. It is a member of the university management and, in this role, shapes the university together with the institute heads, the finance and services management and the rector.

Your area of responsibility

• You lead the Centre for Education and Continuing Education in terms of content, strategy, personnel, organisation and finances
• You further develop the strategic and conceptual foundations of education and continuing education and ensure their quality
• You manage and coordinate the education and continuing education programmes together with the institutes, programme directors and other responsible parties
• You help shape university didactics, curriculum development, competence orientation and digital developments in university teaching
• You ensure professional study and continuing education management as well as effective control and quality instruments
• You maintain internal and external cooperations, represent the HfH in relevant networks and ensure reliable interface and knowledge management
• As a member of the university management, you are responsible for the further development of the HfH as a whole and take on strategic mandates and university development projects
• Within your possibilities, you undertake tasks in education, continuing education, research or services

Your profile

• University degree in special and remedial education or an equivalent qualification, preferably with a doctorate
• Proven extensive experience in education and continuing education management at university level
• Proven experience in university teaching, university didactics, curriculum development and quality management
• Very good knowledge of digital developments in university teaching
• Leadership experience in the university environment as well as high competence in the conception and implementation of complex development projects
• Good knowledge of the national and international university landscape
• Integrative, communicative and team-oriented personality with pronounced conceptual and analytical skills
• Enjoyment in shaping interfaces, lateral leadership and the further development of a university
