Head of Institutional Clients

As Head of Institutional Clients, you take overall responsibility for a strategically important division of Zürcher Kantonalbank, where Swiss institutional clients as well as financial service providers from Switzerland and Liechtenstein are served at two locations (Zurich and Lausanne). You lead and develop a team of around 35 experienced client advisors and specialists and set the strategic direction for market development and growth. In doing so, you ensure that our broad range of financial and investment solutions is used purposefully and that Zürcher Kantonalbank is visibly and relevantly positioned with our institutional clients. Through your leadership, you create the foundation for long-term, personal client relationships and a strong anchoring of the bank in the market.

• Responsibility for the market development strategy for the Institutional segment in line with the bank's strategy
• Leadership and further development of the assigned client advisors and specialists as well as ensuring a strong sales culture
• Development and implementation of measures for business development with existing and new institutional clients
• Maintenance and expansion of long-term relationships with key clients and representing the bank at executive and decision-maker level with clients
• Coordination of cross-divisional collaboration with product specialists (e.g. trading, capital markets, asset management)
• Ensuring active market development and positioning of Zürcher Kantonalbank in the national market environment
• Responsibility for the risk portfolio and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
• Development and optimisation of client- and segment-specific support and advisory models as well as relevant processes and instruments

• Completed university degree, ideally in economics or natural sciences, complemented by relevant further training
• At least 10 years of experience in servicing large Swiss institutional clients such as financial service providers, insurance companies and pension funds, as well as proven leadership experience in direct and indirect management of a larger division
• In-depth knowledge in the Institutional area as well as extensive experience in the value chains of trading and investing
• Very good market knowledge and excellent networking in the relevant client environment; you represent the division and the bank confidently externally
• You convince as an experienced leader with vigour, assertiveness and clear result orientation
• You impress with strong communication skills, strategic thinking and a clear vision for the further development of the division
• Fluent German and English skills; French is a great advantage
