Field Network Engineer (m/f/d)

Modern IT infrastructures must function reliably at all times and be protected against current security risks. In this role, you combine network engineering and IT security and support customers both in ongoing operations and in demanding infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities:
You install, configure, and operate various network, firewall, and security components.
You optimise existing network environments and manage firewall rules, security policies, and VPN connections.
You monitor network activities and analyse logs as well as security-relevant events to detect anomalies early.
You analyse technical faults and assist in handling and containing security incidents.
You perform maintenance work, updates, and technical measures for system hardening.
You plan and implement network and IT security projects directly at customers’ sites.
You document configurations, network environments, and implemented security measures comprehensibly.
Qualifications:
You have several years of professional experience in network and security projects.
You possess very good knowledge of routing, switching, WLAN, firewalling, VPN, and network segmentation.
You can systematically analyse network problems and have strong troubleshooting skills.
You hold a category B driving licence and are willing to support customers throughout Switzerland.
You have experience designing and technically implementing secure network architectures.
You work independently, in a structured and solution-oriented manner, and gladly take on responsibility.
You enjoy direct customer contact and tailoring technical solutions to individual requirements.
You have very good German skills as well as good French and/or Italian skills.
