Your responsibility :

• Independent personnel, professional and operational management of the Stay department
• Responsibility for compliance with legal bases and regulations in the specialist area as well as for careful and correct execution
• Member of the management
• Assumption and completion of cross-departmental specialist tasks
• Completion of special assignments from the office management

Your background :

• Legal training at the level of MLaw or lic. iur.
• Leadership experience
• Professional experience in the field of foreigner and asylum law
• Administrative experience an advantage
• Project experience (project staff, sub-project management)
• Good IT skills (online skills/web research, office programmes, electronic business administration, ZEMIS an advantage)
• Good foreign language skills (English, French, other foreign languages an advantage)

Office for Migration, Integration and Citizenship

The Office for Migration, Integration and Citizenship with its nearly 60 employees is a department of the Security Directorate of the Canton of Basel-Landschaft. It enforces foreigner and asylum law in the canton and is responsible for the naturalisation procedure at the cantonal level. In fulfilment of this mandate, the office examines the conditions for entry and residence of foreign persons as well as the naturalisation requirements in the citizenship procedure.
