Head of Engineering & Automation 80-100%

In this key role, you will be responsible for the technical, personnel, and strategic leadership of the entire automation and electrical engineering department. You will make a significant contribution to successfully implementing innovative customer solutions, further developing technical standards, and actively shaping the future of engineering.

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for the areas of automation, electrical engineering, electrical assembly, and technical development
• Technical and personnel management of employees including resource and capacity planning
• Management of complex customer projects from the concept and planning phase to commissioning at the customer site
• Ensuring quality, efficiency, cost awareness, and adherence to deadlines within the area of responsibility
• Continuous optimisation of processes, methods, and technical standards
• Monitoring new technologies and their practical integration into products and processes
• Close collaboration with sales, project management, design, production, and service
• Support in technical customer inquiries and solution development

Profile:

• Technical basic training with further education at HF, FH level or equivalent in electrical engineering, automation, or systems engineering
• Several years of professional experience in machine or plant engineering with an understanding of project-oriented organisations
• Sound knowledge in PLC programming, industrial automation, electrical planning, and control cabinet or electrical assembly
• Experience with Siemens TIA Portal or comparable automation systems
• Proven leadership experience and enthusiasm for developing and promoting teams
• Entrepreneurial thinking, high personal responsibility, and strong solution orientation
• Communicative personality with a confident manner and hands-on mentality
• Very good German skills as well as English skills for the international project environment
